CD Projekt RED officially announced on their Twitter that The Witcher Series has sold more than 50 million units worldwide since its initial release back in 2007.
The official statement :
” Over 50 million adventurers joined Geralt on his journey from Kaer Morhen to Vizima, through Flotsam and Vergen, Velen and Novigrad to Skellige Isles and Toussaint, and many, many more places, time and time again…Thank you and may we meet on the path again. “
CD Projekt RED is working now on Cyberpunk 2077. The game will launch on September 17th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. After that, we might get an official announcement for the next Witcher game.
A lot of people are hoping for Ciri to become the next main protagonist since the studio ended Geralt’s main story in The Witcher 3 and its DLCs.
