CD Projekt RED has already confirmed that they are going back to the world of The Witcher after releasing Cyberpunk 2077. In a recent talk with VG247, Jakub Szamałek from CD Projekt RED said :
” I regret we didn’t get to explore Ciri’s past a bit more. She’s such an amazingly rich and complex character. Due to obvious reasons – well, she’s pretty much gone for two-thirds of the game. She didn’t get quite as much screen time as we writers would have liked. But hey, maybe it’s something we’ll get to get back to in the future. “
This might be a tease that we will get to explore more of Ciri’s story in the next installment of The Witcher Series. Cyberpunk 2077 launches on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on September 17.
The game will also launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X sometime in the future.
