Monster Energy Supercross 25 Review

From Crazy Speed to Harsh Realism: Is Monster Energy Supercross 25 Worth Your Time?
We grew up, our priorities changed, and even our taste in games flipped 180 degrees. Back then, I used to chase crazy speed, nitro, and those wild drifts that break the laws of physics in games like Need for Speed and Forza Horizon… But now, I’m more into realistic racing games, the ones that are tough, where mashing buttons won’t help you win.
And here comes Monster Energy Supercross 25, a game that feels like a big leap for the series after moving to Unreal Engine 5, clearly trying to give you a nearly real experience with every jump, bump, and harsh brake.
But don’t get fooled by its looks, because Monster Energy Supercross 25 is not the kind of game you open and instantly win. It’s a school, a tough training ground that teaches you the hard way: by falling. The game won’t hesitate to slam you to the ground, but every time you get up, you feel closer to mastery.
So, is Supercross 25 really worth your time? Did it succeed in bringing a realistic racing experience? And did Milestone finally manage to step out of its small audience circle and open the doors for new players? Let’s find out!
Game Content:
In Monster Energy Supercross 25, developer Milestone didn’t settle for a regular racing game. No… They went all in and delivered rich, varied content that makes this one of the most complete versions in the series’ history. Every detail here is designed to pull you from your seat into the racing track, right in the middle of the action.
One of the standout features is the full representation of all riders from the 250cc (East and West) and 450cc categories. Any name you’ve seen in a real race is here, with the same outfit, number, and team. The feeling of racing against real championship stars on actual season tracks is adrenaline-pumping.
For the first time in the series, the game includes all the official 2025 season tracks, with accurate, updated designs. Whether you like tight turns, crazy jumps, or long straights that give you max speed, each track offers a unique challenge.
The Career mode takes you on a journey starting from the “Futures” category, where you slowly prove yourself, then move up to 250, and finally join the top tier in 450. But it’s not just races. You have to balance fame, reputation, and your team relationships. Every choice – whether picking a sponsor or dealing with other characters – has a direct impact on your path.
And the game doesn’t keep you inside the track only, it also gives you a life outside it. There’s a social media-like interactive system where you engage with other racers, make friends, create rivalries, or light up a feud that blows up in the next race. While it’s still simple, it adds an extra layer to your career.
On top of that, there are six outdoor tracks created by the studio, which break the routine and add nice variety. Plus, a DLC is coming soon with SuperMotocross tracks from the 2025 season. So there’s more content coming, keeping the game fresh for longer.
Gameplay:
If you thought riding a motocross bike is as easy as tilting the joystick left and right, get ready for a shock… Monster Energy Supercross 25 isn’t playing around. The game is unforgiving, but at the same time, it rewards those who stick around and learn the tracks’ secrets.
Right after the short tutorial, you’ll be thrown into the real challenge. The game lets you choose from different physics settings, and the toughest one is “Pro Physics”, which brings scary realism. Here, winning or crashing hard depends on how you balance throttle, braking, and moving your body on the bike.
If you come from games like Gran Turismo, switching to this type of racing is like learning to fly a kite after years of riding a bike. But once you get the basics – like timing your jumps and doing Scrubs and Whips – the game starts rewarding your effort.
One of the smartest additions in this version is the dynamic deformation system. In short, every lap leaves a mark. Turns change, jumps get trickier or become your chance to overtake. This makes every lap feel new, and every race fresh.
This natural change in the track’s surface gives long races a new vibe, constantly forcing you to find new lines, or avoid a hole that could throw you out of the competition in a second.
If you’re after those “flying in the air” moments, the jumps here are the reward! The number of jumps in each track, and the feeling of flying above the ground – those are moments you won’t get in any other racing game. And the joy of flying over your opponent and overtaking mid-air? Pure satisfaction.
This game demands commitment. If you’re not ready to fall a lot, go off-track, and maybe repeat the same race multiple times, you’ll feel lost. But once you get the hang of it, understand how the bike reacts to the ground, and read each jump correctly, you’ll feel like you’re handling a mechanical beast in your hands.
Graphics:
From the very first moment, Monster Energy Supercross 25 pulls you in with a stunning visual experience that aims to impress your eyes before anything else. The lighting, especially in indoor arenas, makes you feel like you’re watching a live championship broadcast.
The design of the bikes and racers is also super detailed – from materials to reflections on the suit and helmet. There are also cinematic scenes between races that give the game an artistic flavor unlike usual racing games.
And when the game switches from indoor tracks to outdoor environments, it shows off the studio’s skills in natural lighting and ground details, whether it’s mud, sand, or anything else… all crafted to make you feel like you’re really there.
Final Rating
8.5/10
Monster Energy Supercross 25 is not a game for those who love easy wins. It’s for people with passion, patience, and a desire to challenge themselves before anyone else. Every race is a battle, every crash a lesson, and every win tastes different… the taste of real progress and hard work.
So if you’re someone who enjoys grinding, learning, and feeling that real achievement after crossing the finish line… then Monster Energy Supercross 25 deserves your chance. But be warned, it won’t pamper you… it will train you.
