Tomorrow marks the start of the Esports World Cup: Free Fire competition, featuring 18 teams.

Free Fire Announces the Launch of “Esports World Cup: Free Fire”

The tournament will kick off tomorrow in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, running until July 14. It features 18 of the world’s top Free Fire teams competing for a share of the $1 million prize pool. The winner will also earn a ticket to the “Free Fire World Series (FFWS 2024)” Grand Finals in Brazil later this year.

The “Esports World Cup: Free Fire” will consist of three stages. The first stage, “Knockout Stage,” will run from July 10–12. Teams will be divided into three groups of six, with two groups competing daily. The top 12 teams based on points will advance to the “Point-Rush” stage on July 13. From there, teams will fight to qualify for the Grand Finals on July 14, where they will battle for the championship.

Meet the 18 Teams Competing in the Tournament

The participating teams earned their spots by excelling in local and regional Free Fire leagues. The fierce competition has brought together 18 of the best teams to vie for the championship title.

Group 1 includes teams from Indonesia, Brazil, Thailand, and Mexico. Notable teams in this group are:

  • “ONIC Olympus” (Indonesia) – FFWS Spring 2024 Champion
  • “All Gamers Global” (Thailand) – Formerly “EXP Esports,” FFWS 2022 runner-up
  • “EVOS Esports” (Indonesia) – Free Fire World Cup 2019 Champion
  • “19esports” (Mexico) – FFWS EWC Latin America Qualifier Champion
  • “Netshoes Miners” (Brazil) – ESL Snapdragon Pro Season 4 Champion
  • “FLUXO” (Brazil) – Liga Brasileira de Free Fire 2021 Champion

Group 2 brings excitement as it features no repeated representatives from any league. This group includes:

  • “P Esports” (Vietnam) – FFWS Southeast Asia 2024 Spring Runner-up
  • “Buriram United Esports” (Thailand) – FFWS 2023 Runner-up
  • “RRQ” (Indonesia) – FFWS 2023 Fourth Place
  • “RETA Esports” (Mexico) – FFWS EWC Latin America Second Place
  • “LOUD” (Brazil) – Liga Brasileira de Free Fire 2023 Champion
  • “Hotshot Esports” (Pakistan) – Free Fire Galaxy Series 2024 Champion

Group 3 features teams from Thailand, Indonesia, Mexico, Brazil, and Algeria:

  • “Team Falcons” (Thailand) – FFWS Southeast Asia 2024 Spring Champion
  • “Gaimin Gladiators” (Indonesia) – A consistent presence in international competitions since 2023
  • “Twisted Minds” (Thailand) – ESL Mobile Master Brazil 2024 Champion
  • “All Glory Gaming” (Mexico) – Free Fire League Latin America 2023 Opening Champion
  • “Team Solid” (Brazil) – C.O.P.A. Free Fire 2024 Champion
  • “ALQADSIAH ESPORTS” (Algeria) – Team with global event experience since 2019

The “Esports World Cup: Free Fire” will be streamed live at 4 PM Cairo time on multiple platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok. Commentary will be available in nine languages: English, Arabic, Portuguese, Bahasa Indonesian, Spanish, Thai, and Vietnamese. Fans can cheer for their favorite teams and enjoy in-game themed missions from July 12–14.
